[Solved] Not sure how to make a course visible in the user-facing course catalogue

Post by Pritchard »

EDIT: Solved. Had to login as one of my Student Users. Course was not visible in catalogue to my super admin, for some reason.

I have a course category configured with a course in it... I have also added a "Main Catalogue", and then added the course to it. I have then tried to add all user groups to this "Main Catalogue".

As a student, my course categories show just fine, but they are empty. I'm not sure what exactly is needed to make that catalogue's contents actually visible when the student visits the Course Catalogue and dives into the appropriate category?

Hi Pritchard, I had followed your initial post and wanted to answer, but now I see you solved.

I don't know your specific settings, anyway:

- if you do not have specific catalogues, all the courses that are confirmed or available AND are set to be visible to everybody will be displayed in the catalogue (within their start and end dates)

- if you have specific catalogues (I understand you do), then only the courses that have been added to them will be shown. Additionally, they will be shown to the specific users (or nodes, or groups) you have assigned to those catalogues

Hope this answers.
